1670 York Street was acquired in 1999 as Gibraltar's offices. When acquired, it was a run down, dilapidated office building. After one year of renovation, the property was transformed into one of Uptown Denver's great historic mansions. The building was over 3,000 square feet spread over 3 stories. After spending one year in the renovated building as Gibraltar's offices, the real estate broker who initially sold the building to Gibraltar, asked if he could show it to a potential customer of his that was looking to rehabilitate an old historic mansion. Thirty days later, Gibraltar sold the building to that potential customer, and relocated its offices.
