Villages North is a 160 acre master planned community located at the southwest corner of Thornton Parkway and Colorado Boulevard. Gibraltar purchased the property in 1998, and spent several years working through the entitlements for the property. Villages North had many obstacles in order to develop, it was burdened with a bisecting railroad, floodplain, and wetlands. As of 2007, Gibraltar had sold six of the nine filings of the Villages North project, with only the Shops at Thornton Valley, Residences at Thornton Valley, and Custom Storage filings still available.
